Pako and Haldan Budget by rez

Format: Commander

Commander: Pako, Arcane Retriever and Haldan, Avid Arcanist

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Pako/Haldan is a budget Temur voltron/value deck. Pako is the primary engine and finisher: his haste attacks exile cards from all opponents and grow him with +1/+1 counters, while Haldan lets you play lands and noncreature spells from those fetch-countered exiles. The deck accelerates with land ramp to land Pako early, then uses double strike and extra combat effects such as Genji Glove, Overpowering Attack, Full Throttle, and Moraug to convert Pako's size into commander-damage kills. Theft/cast-from-exile is a value bonus rather than a plan; wins come from Pako hitting for 21+ or from Chandra's Ignition once Pako is huge.
