Deck overview

This is a mono-black sacrifice/combo deck built around Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker. Because every Shadowborn Apostle is a 1/1, sacrificing six for a Demon re-fills the board at the end step, making Shirei the recurring engine. The primary plan is to chain Apostles with Thrumming Stone, or grind one Demon per turn, until Rune-Scarred Demon fetches Liliana's Contract and four differently named Demons end the game. Secondary plans use Blood Artist and Vrock drains, Black Market and Ashnod's Altar mana, and Razaketh tutoring. The hidden champion is Shadowborn Apostle: 29 copies plus Thrumming Stone create a miniature storm-like engine whose payoff is Demons and the Contract win.
