Deck overview

Pir and Toothy form a draw-based counter engine. The primary plan is to put Pir on the board, grow Toothy with every draw spell, then flicker Toothy to turn its +1/+1 counters into a huge drawn stack. Hardened Scales and Kami of Whispered Hopes multiply those counters. The resulting draw volume either empties the library for Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, or leaves the library small enough for Thassa's Oracle. A slower secondary plan uses large flyers such as Consecrated Sphinx and Faerie Mastermind after repeated card advantage. The mana base supports it with 34 lands and many cheap cantrips, while the interaction suite protects the engine and keeps the turn-seven window open.
