Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Mardu Vampire tribal deck commanded by Edgar Markov. It leverages Edgar's eminence ability to generate free 1/1 Vampire tokens from the command zone whenever a Vampire spell is cast. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost Vampires to build an aggressive, wide board presence. By Turn 4 and 5, the deck amplifies this swarm through powerful anthem effects like Shared Animosity, combat drain engines like Sanctum Seeker, or card-draw powerhouses like Skullclamp and Champion of Dusk. In addition to overwhelming combat damage, the deck incorporates an aristocrats package with Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant to punish board wipes, alongside a game-ending two-card infinite drain combo in Exquisite Blood and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. Flexible removal in Anguished Unmaking, Swords to Plowshares, and Ruinous Ultimatum handles diverse opposing threats.
