Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue spellslinger tempo deck commanded by Namor the Sub-Mariner. The strategy revolves around deploying Namor early and casting cheap blue noncreature spells such as cantrips, bounce effects, and counterspells. Each blue mana symbol in these spells creates 1/1 blue Merfolk tokens, simultaneously widening your board and increasing Namor's power. Support cards like Lord of Atlantis and Attuma, Atlantean Warlord pump the army and grant evasion, while Harbinger of the Seas turns opposing nonbasic lands into Islands to ensure unblockable attacks. The deck maintains control using a dense suite of flexible interaction spells that trigger Namor while disrupting opposing plans. Card advantage engines such as Kindred Discovery, Enduring Curiosity, and Coastal Piracy keep your hand full as creatures connect. The deck reliably closes games on Turn 8 through overwhelming combat damage and commander damage.
