Deck overview

Helmed by Nicol Bolas, the Ravager (flipping into Nicol Bolas, the Arisen), this is a Grixis Bolas-superfriends control deck. The front half is a 4/4 flyer that strips one card from each opponent, while the back half is a loyalty engine that draws cards, answers creatures and planeswalkers, reanimates a key piece, and can eventually exile an entire library. The broader plan is to grind out the table with discard, edicts, board wipes, and planeswalker removal until the Bolas walker suite takes over the game. The main finishers are Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God's ultimate, powered up by proliferate effects and Deepglow Skate; a giant Torment of Hailfire off Cabal Coffers and Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth; and the deck's cleanest deterministic combo: Bolas's Citadel + Sensei's Divining Top + Aetherflux Reservoir. The deck wants the game to go long and uses its commander as both an early beater and a long-game advantage engine.
