Commander: Grand Arbiter Augustin IV

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Azorius stax/control deck led by Grand Arbiter Augustin IV focuses on taxing opponents' spells with cost increases and reducing your own costs. The primary win condition is establishing a deterministic lock with Decree of Silence and Solemnity to counter all opponent spells indefinitely, then winning through combat (e.g., Geist of Saint Traft) or mill (e.g., Jace, Memory Adept). Secondary plans involve grinding out value with tax effects, board wipes, and incremental advantage.
