Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa by user1798242

Format: Commander

Commander: Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ixhel is a supplementary poison/card-advantage engine rather than the core of this Abzan Angel/Cleric lifegain deck. The deck plans to gain life through Clerics and Angels, pump that life into anthem effects like Righteous Valkyrie and Cleric Class, then win through combat pressure, Vito's life-drain, Angel of Destiny's life-total threshold, or the Book of Exalted Deeds + Platinum Angel lock. There is no hidden commander; the honest engine is the Angel/Cleric shell. Ixhel's toxic 2 and corrupted trigger provide extra reach and access to opponents' cards, but the deck does not need her to execute its main plan.
