Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color thematic synergy aggro deck commanded by Michelangelo, the Heart and Leonardo, the Balance. The strategy focuses on establishing early creature presence, generating artifact tokens (Food, Mutagen, and Clues), and translating token creation into repeated, team-wide +1/+1 counters through Leonardo and synergistic permanents. Michelangelo provides consistent Turn 2 board development, triggering Raid to generate Food tokens that immediately activate Leonardo's ability to distribute +1/+1 counters across all controlled creatures. Once a substantial board presence is established, the deck scales rapidly using damage amplifiers like Raphael, the Muscle, extra combat steps from Waves of Aggression, direct burn via All Will Be One, or Leonardo's full-color activation granting menace, trample, and lifelink. While the deck possesses explosive mid-game combat potential and resilient recovery through redundant beatdown threats, it requires careful mana management across five colors and remains vulnerable to well-timed mass creature sweepers.
