Deck overview

This Mardu deck utilizes Edgar Markov's eminence ability to establish an aggressive wide board of Vampire tokens without needing to cast its commander early. By curving out cheap Vampires from Turn 1 onward, the deck doubles its board presence automatically and stacks tribal anthems, life drain, and combat buffs. Key force multipliers like Cathars' Crusade, Bloodletter of Aclazotz, and Warleader's Call quickly escalate token swarms into lethal combat damage across all three opponents by Turn 7. The deck includes strong asymmetric sweepers like Olivia's Wrath and robust mass recursion via Bloodline Bidding and Dread Return to recover after disruption. While it lacks free instant-speed protection and fast cEDH-tier mana acceleration, its high card redundancy, built-in lifelink buffers, and continuous token generation make it a resilient and relentless aggro-midrange powerhouse in casual and high-power Commander pods.
