Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-green stompy powerhouse led by Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The game plan accelerates mana on turn 1, deploys efficient, high-power creatures on turns 2 and 3, and casts a 12/12 trampling commander for just two green mana on turn 4. Once Ghalta enters the battlefield, card-draw engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise refill the hand while massive stat multipliers like Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus scale combat damage to eliminate opponents rapidly. The deck safeguards its investments with low-cost protection spells such as Heroic Intervention, Tamiyo's Safekeeping, and Sylvan Safekeeper. While it lacks stack interaction against spell combos and remains vulnerable to exile-based board wipes, its immense board pressure and redundancy allow it to consistently overwhelm pods by turn 7.
