Deck overview

This deck is a specialized Orzhov combo list centered on Selenia, Dark Angel. Selenia's unique ability allows the pilot to pay 2 life at instant speed and hold priority, stacking multiple activations to intentionally reduce their life total to 1 or 0 on demand. The deck converts this extreme life reduction into instant table kills using inversion engines such as Children of Korlis or Tainted Sigil paired with Vizkopa Guildmage or Sanguine Bond, or through symmetrical equalizers like Repay in Kind and Magus of the Mirror. A rich suite of black draw powerhouses, including Necropotence, Necrodominance, and Ad Nauseam, accelerates the assembly of key components. Robust protection spells such as Silence, Grand Abolisher, and Angel's Grace ensure the combo executes cleanly while guarding against sudden defeat. The list also packs an independent backup win line in Exquisite Blood combined with Sanguine Bond.
