Deck overview

This mono-black midrange deck leverages Alpharael, Stonechosen and an extensive suite of life-halving effects to rapidly dismantle high life totals. By pairing sacrifice enablers such as Reassembling Skeleton and Warren Soultrader with Alpharael's Void ability, the deck reliably triggers massive, unblockable life loss starting on Turn 5. Amplifiers like Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Wound Reflection turn these 50% life cuts into immediate one-shot eliminations when paired with spells like Rush of Dread or Fraying Omnipotence. A dense package of low-mana ramp and black rituals accelerates heavy threats ahead of curve, while persistent attrition engines like Braids, Cabal Minion and Sothera, the Supervoid keep opposing boards under constant pressure. The deck operates with strong resilience, utilizing commander Ward, instant death-triggers, and reanimation to recover quickly from board disruption and close out games by Turn 7.
