Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Zombie tribal strategy helmed by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary game plan revolves around deploying resilient Zombie threats, casting Gisa, and sacrificing high-power or recurring creatures like Gravecrawler and Grave Titan to generate overwhelming armies of 2/2 Zombie tokens. The deck amplifies this swarm with traditional tribal lords such as Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Cemetery Reaper, which turn wide token boards into lethal combat forces. In addition to combat damage, the deck leverages aristocrat drain engines like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel to bypass pillowforts and blockers. Graveyard recursion effects from Lord of the Undead, Altar of Bhaal, and Animate Dead provide strong resilience against board wipes, ensuring the swarm can rebuild quickly. While the deck possesses immense grinding power and creature board control through Noxious Ghoul, its lack of stack interaction and artifact answers leaves it focused on proactive creature dominance.
