Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black attrition midrange strategy led by Koh, the Face Stealer. The deck seeks to strip opponent resources during the early game through hand disruption spells like Pilfer, Burglar Rat, and Mind Rot, while controlling the board with efficient spot removal including Infernal Grasp and Fell. In the mid-to-late game, it transitions into board development by casting resilient card-draw engines like Phyrexian Arena and high-impact payoffs like Grave Titan and Painful Quandary. Koh, the Face Stealer acts as a versatile toolbox, exiling creatures from either side of the board to copy activated and triggered abilities, notably pairing with Tree of Perdition to reduce opponent life totals to critical levels. The deck's primary route to victory is incremental combat damage and aristocrat drain via Bastion of Remembrance, closing out games around Turn 10.
