Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth pilots a monoblack life-pay engine that turns every black spell pip into a life payment, enabling brutally efficient acceleration. The deck weaves together a demon tribal shell with drain-and-gain synergies, leveraging ritual mana and Cabal Coffers to deploy high-CMC threats like Vilis and Archfiend of Despair far ahead of curve. Primary wins come through Torment of Hailfire for massive mana, Gray Merchant devotion, or the Liliana's Contract alternative condition. A dense suite of tutors keeps the plan on track, while the commander's lifelink offsets the life costs. The strategy is aggressive and resilient, though it leans heavily on K'rrik to cheat costs.
