Deck overview

This is a Gruul "Xenagos-stompy" deck: it ramps into high-power creatures, doubles them with Xenagos, God of Revels, and uses extra combat steps to turn one good swing into a table kill. The primary win is combat - a hasty, Xenagos-boosted threat like Ghalta, Primal Hunger or Hydra Omnivore, compounded by additional combats from Karlach, Fury of Avernus, Scourge of the Throne, Genji Glove, Moraug, Fury of Akoum, and the infinite Savage Ventmaw + Aggravated Assault loop. Around that core, the deck packs ramp, big-creature draw engines like Garruk's Uprising, Guardian Project, and Up the Beanstalk, plus occasional cheat/selection from Garruk, Caller of Beasts and Etali, Primal Storm. It is linear and draw-dependent: there are no true tutors and very little stack interaction, so games often come down to whether the extra-combat line appears while the board is still favorable.
