Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan Toughness and Defender combat deck led by Felothar the Steadfast. It turns low-cost, high-toughness defenders into formidable attackers by assigning combat damage based on toughness rather than power. In the opening turns, the deck deploys defensive walls and mana dorks such as Wall of Blossoms, Wall of Junk, and Overgrown Battlement. Once Felothar or redundant enablers like Doran, the Siege Tower enter the battlefield, these low-power walls immediately hit for substantial combat damage. Felothar also provides a massive card advantage engine by sacrificing 0-power defenders to draw up to 7 cards with zero discards. Asymmetric board wipes like Slaughter the Strong and Expel the Interlopers wipe away opposing creatures while leaving the defender army intact. The deck finishes games through wide combat swings, evasion from Behind the Scenes, and massive stat boosts from Tower Defense.
