Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy strategy that maximizes power-to-mana efficiency to cast Ghalta, Primal Hunger as early as Turn 4 for just two green mana. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using one-mana mana dorks and rapidly follows with aggressively statted beaters such as Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Gigantosaurus. Once total board power reaches 10 or more, Ghalta enters as a massive 12/12 trampling threat. Sustained card draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond replenish the hand as large creatures enter, while finishers like Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth convert high power into table-wide lethal swings. The deck exhibits strong recovery thanks to redundant threats in the 99, though it remains vulnerable to mass creature board wipes due to limited stack interaction and sparse protection slots.
