Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy strategy engineered to deploy Ghalta, Primal Hunger ahead of curve and overwhelm the table with massive combat damage. By utilizing efficient mana dorks like Llanowar Elves on Turn 1 and over-statted beaters like Steel Leaf Champion and Pugnacious Hammerskull on Turns 2 and 3, the deck reliably meets Ghalta's power-discount requirement by Turn 4. Once Ghalta enters play as a 12/12 trampler, the deck leverages its commander's enormous power to draw massive bursts of cards through spells like Greater Good and Return of the Wildspeaker. Game-ending pump spells like Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth allow the deck to trample through blockers and eliminate opponents across consecutive turns. While the deck boasts high redundancy and resilient backup threats, its reliance on combat damage and vulnerable creature permanents makes it susceptible to well-timed sweepers and instant-speed removal.
