Deck overview

This deck is a Jund midrange attrition engine built around -1/-1 counter synergy, piloted by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The strategy focuses on distributing -1/-1 counters across both sides of the board to draw cards from your own creatures while draining life from opponents. In the early game, the deck accelerates mana to cast Auntie Ool on Turn 3 or 4, quickly pairing her with self-blighting creatures like Devoted Druid and Channeler Initiate to establish steady card flow. In the midgame, sweepers such as Carnifex Demon, Black Sun's Zenith, and Soul Snuffers systematically dismantle opposing creature boards. The deck locks down opposing combat with Kulrath Knight and steals destroyed creatures with Necroskitter. It closes games around Turn 8 through a combination of wide token swarms from Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, flying beatdown, cumulative life drain, or an infinite death loop with Blowfly Infestation.
