Deck overview

This Gruul deck leverages Scarlet Spider, Ben Reilly as an aggressive combat engine and value converter. By utilizing the web-slinging alternate casting cost, the deck returns tapped utility and ETB creatures—such as Wood Elves, Farhaven Elf, and Llanowar Visionary—to hand, allowing Scarlet Spider to enter the battlefield early as a massive 7/6 or larger trampler for only two mana. The returned creatures are subsequently recast to generate recurring ramp and card flow. The mid-game transitions into deploying crushing combat amplifiers like Xenagos, God of Revels, God-Eternal Rhonas, and Terror of Mount Velus, which double power and grant double strike. Additional top-end cascade threats such as Raph & Mikey, Troublemakers and Trumpeting Carnosaur maintain board pressure if the primary commander line is contested. The deck relies on fast, overwhelming combat damage to eliminate opponents across Turns 5 through 7.
