Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Reanimator Control deck led by Marchesa, Dealer of Death. The primary strategy focuses on ramping on Turn 2, binning massive high-impact creatures on Turn 3 using cards like Buried Alive, Unmarked Grave, and looting effects, and reanimating them on Turn 4 with Reanimate, Animate Dead, or Victimize. Dominant reanimation targets such as Archon of Cruelty, Vilis, Broker of Blood, and Massacre Wurm seize early control of the board by stripping opposing resources and generating immense card advantage. Meanwhile, Marchesa, Dealer of Death turns every targeted interaction spell, edict, and crime into card selection, digging deeper into gas and protection. The deck closes games through compounded combat damage from evasive beaters and asymmetric life-loss effects from Breach the Multiverse, Shard of the Nightbringer, and Syr Konrad, the Grim.
