Format: Commander

Commander: Ian Malcolm, Chaotician

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ian Malcolm, Chaotician transforms symmetrical group draw into a shared exile repository, enabling you to hijack opposing cards while triggering exile-cast synergies. The primary strategy uses forced group draw effects like Kami of the Crescent Moon, Temple Bell, and Teferi's Puzzle Box to consistently trigger Ian Malcolm across every turn. Once a critical mass of cards is exiled, you leverage payoffs such as Keeper of Secrets, Passionate Archaeologist, and Flaming Tyrannosaurus to burn down the table. Secondary win conditions involve overwhelming board states with Homunculus Horde, board manipulation through Confusion in the Ranks and Warp World, or locking opponents under Possibility Storm and Knowledge Pool.
