Deck overview

This Bant deck uses Helga, Skittish Seer as a scaling card-draw and mana-generating commander that rewards casting creatures with mana value 4 or greater. A dense suite of eleven 1-mana ramp spells ensures Helga consistently enters the battlefield on Turn 2. On Turn 3, casting mid-curve creatures triggers Helga to draw cards, gain life, and gain +1/+1 counters, allowing her to tap for multiple mana of any color. The deck transitions into a lethal creature storm on Turn 4 by resolving untap engines such as Chakram Retriever or Intruder Alarm. Each creature cast untaps Helga, draws a fresh card, and produces an escalating surplus of mana. The chain culminates in deploying Hullbreaker Horror to bounce opposing boards and granting the team haste and trample with Surrak and Goreclaw or End-Raze Forerunners for a decisive same-turn combat finish across all opponents.
