Saruman, the White Hand commands a Grixis spellslinger deck that blends tall Army beatdown with lethal damage combos. The primary path to victory is assembling a deterministic draw-and-ping loop using Niv-Mizzet, Parun or Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind paired with Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout. Secondarily, Saruman converts noncreature spells into a massive Orc Army equipped with evasion and lifelink via Shadowspear and Loxodon Warhammer, or closes games with Chandra's Ignition and Torment of Hailfire. Saruman provides resilient board presence and ward protection, but the deck operates independently through robust card draw, efficient removal, and potent mana generation.
