The Bloodchiefs Ascension by cgodsey12

Format: Commander

Commander: Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet leads a mono-black midrange attrition deck. The primary plan is to park Kalitas with a sacrifice outlet, pair it with Grave Pact/Dictate of Erebos, and exile every opposing nontoken creature while converting those deaths into 2/2 Zombies. The Zombie mass fuels further sacrifice, draw triggers, and a big-mana finish. Secondary paths are reanimation of haymakers like Vilis and Butcher of Malakir, and commander damage from a counter-grown Kalitas, possibly with Genji Glove. Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and tutors set up lethal Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built around Kalitas's engine, with the DFC value cards acting as repeatable draws/tutors.
