Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Dimir combo-spellslinger deck centered on Hidetsugu and Kairi. The game plan revolves around casting the commander on Turn 4 to filter the hand and stack a high-cost instant or sorcery on top of the library. On Turn 5, the deck casts inexpensive clone spells targeting the commander. The legend rule immediately forces one copy into the graveyard, triggering its death ability to burn an opponent for massive damage and cast high-impact spells like Aminatou's Augury, In Garruk's Wake, or Clone Legion for free. Backed by a dense suite of cheap countermagic and reanimation tricks, the deck chains clone triggers together to deplete opponent life totals and generate a lethal aerial army by Turn 6.
