Format: Commander

Commander: Thrakkus the Butcher

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thrakkus the Butcher leads a Gruul Dragon beatdown deck built around one combat trick: when he attacks, every Dragon's power doubles. The primary plan is to ramp into Thrakkus, cast additional Dragons with haste or protection, and convert that single doubling into a lethal swing or a multi-combat loop. Secondary paths are extra-combat engines (Hellkite Charger, Aggravated Assault with Ancient Copper Dragon/Bear Umbra) that stack the doubling trigger and can finish the whole table, plus a small aura/equipment package that makes Thrakkus a commander-damage threat. There is no hidden commander; Livaan, Skanos, and the Background cards are support, not an alternate game plan.
