Jan Jansen by user9997010

Format: Commander

Commander: Jan Jansen, Chaos Crafter

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Jan Jansen, Chaos Crafter leads a Mardu artifact-token aristocrats deck. The primary plan is to create, sacrifice, and recur artifacts: Jan's haste lets him convert noncreature artifacts into Construct tokens and artifact creatures into Treasures, while Reckless Fireweaver, Impact Tremors, Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade, and Bastion of Remembrance turn every token event into damage or life loss. The secondary path is a recursion wave-Wake the Past or Daretti-returning sacrificed artifacts for a final drain. The commander is an efficient engine rather than a strict combo piece; the deck can function without him, but he greatly accelerates the loop. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built around Jan's two sacrifice abilities.
