Deck overview

Lord of the Nazgul is a Dimir instant/sorcery list that plays as fast combo-control. The primary win is Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact emptying the library, then Thassa's Oracle-or Laboratory Maniac with a draw spell. The commander is a secondary engine: each instant/sorcery creates a 3/3 menace Wraith, and the deck runs all nine Nazgul so a cantrip chain can hit the 9-Wraith threshold and make a 9/9 swarm. Talrand, Archmage Emeritus, and River Song's Diary add velocity and repeated triggers. The deck can goldfish a turn-4 library win, but it also has enough counters, removal, and recursion to grind. The nine Nazgul effectively act as a hidden Wraith subtheme.
