Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color spellslinger engine built around Codie, Ravenous Codex and creatures with the Prepare mechanic. Early turns focus on fixing all five colors and deploying cheap prepare creatures alongside ramp staples like Arcane Signet and Nature's Lore. Once Codie enters the battlefield, every prepared spell cast from a creature gets copied automatically, turning low-cost adventure spells into massive bursts of mana, cards, and removal. Payoffs such as Archmage Emeritus, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Vega, the Watcher turn these copied casts into overwhelming card draw and Treasure generation. The deck transitions into a game-ending state around Turn 6 by resolving win conditions like Rite of the Dragoncaller to flood the board with 5/5 flying Dragons, or chaining burn spells through Guttersnipe and Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate. While vulnerable to mass creature removal, the deck's deep card velocity and redundant prepare creatures allow it to rebuild rapidly and close the game.
