Snake It Till You Make It by Direcau

Format: Commander

Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Serpent Society commands a deadly Golgari deck combining deathtouch tribal, infect, and proliferate engines. The primary strategy aims to poison all opponents quickly through evasive infect creatures, toxic attackers, and symmetrical poison spells like Ichor Rats. Once opponents receive their initial poison counters, the deck accelerates the clock using continuous proliferate triggers from cards like Evolution Sage, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and Bloated Contaminator. The commander acts as a severe deterrent, threatening five poison counters via ward while forcing opponents to sacrifice creatures whenever your deathtouch blockers die. Alternative win paths include explosive overrun bursts with Triumph of the Hordes or Finale of Devastation.
