Deck overview
This mono-blue combo deck takes advantage of the singleton exemption on Sphinx's Approach by running 50 copies alongside commander Jace, Vryn's Prodigy. The primary game plan is to stock the graveyard with four copies of Sphinx's Approach by Turn 3 using early surveil spells like Taigam's Scheming or Jace's looting ability. On Turn 4, casting a fifth copy of Sphinx's Approach searches the library and puts Sphinx of the Chimes directly onto the battlefield. By repeatedly discarding duplicate copies of Sphinx's Approach to activate the Sphinx, the deck draws its entire library in a single turn. It then casts zero-mana artifacts Lotus Petal and Mox Amber to generate blue mana for Thassa's Oracle, winning the game on the spot. A dense suite of free countermagic protects the winning turn, though the deck remains vulnerable to graveyard exile and draw-punishing creatures.
