Format: Commander

Commander: Unctus, Grand Metatect

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Unctus, Grand Metatect leads a mono-blue artifact-untap combo deck. The commander is not a double-faced card; the deck is built around his looting trigger. The primary plan is to assemble an infinite mana/untap loop-either Isochron Scepter with Dramatic Reversal or Aphetto Alchemist with Illusionist's Bracers-then use Unctus's draw-on-tap ability to loot through the entire library and win with Thassa's Oracle or Laboratory Maniac. Secondary paths include Ghostly Pilferer as a draw-on-untap backup and a modest flying beatdown plan if combo pieces are denied. Interaction is counterspell-heavy, and the deck can win through hate if it protects the stack.
