Deck overview

This Rakdos deck focuses on generating massive amounts of Treasure tokens to drain opponents and draw through the library. Led by Smaug, Wicked Worm, the deck capitalizes on opponents' artifacts upon entry to create a burst of Treasure tokens. These tokens trigger entrance pingers like Reckless Fireweaver, Marionette Apprentice, and Weftstalker Ardent, while also enabling card draw whenever Treasure mana is spent to cast spells. Acceleration from cards like Sol Ring, Dark Ritual, and Magda, Brazen Outlaw ensures consistent early development. Midgame turns leverage engines like Academy Manufactor, Goldspan Dragon, and Mirkwood Bats to compound token output and life loss. The deck finishes games around Turn 7 using an overwhelming Torment of Hailfire, Bolas's Citadel storm chains, or a total board wipe via Mycosynth Lattice and Vandalblast. While highly explosive, the deck remains vulnerable to mass creature removal and artifact denial.
