Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red aggressive synergy deck commanded by Alex Wilder, Runaway. The strategy revolves around casting spells and creatures from non-hand zones using mechanics like exile, impulse draw, plot, warp, and cascade. When creatures enter from exile or the graveyard, Alex Wilder grants them an immediate +2/+0 buff and haste, turning impulse card advantage into rapid board pressure. Dedicated payoffs like Flaming Tyrannosaurus, Nico Minoru, Runaway, and Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest convert these casts into direct burn against each opponent. The deck runs a high land count with basic Mountains, ensuring dependable mana drops, though it lacks fast acceleration. While resilient to removal thanks to Alex Wilder's built-in Escape mechanic and standalone red powerhouses, the list features limited defensive countermagic and minimal proactive stax, aiming to win by overwhelming the table through combat and burn around Turn 8.
