Commander: Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet deck is a Niv-Mizzet combo-control list centered on Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind. Its primary plan is to ramp out the commander, then use the draw-triggered pings to control the board and dig through the library. The main kill is Curiosity on Niv, converting each ping into a fresh draw and creating an infinite damage loop. The secondary line pairs Niv-Mizzet, Visionary with the Firemind or Parun to loop noncombat damage. A package of U/R cantrips, cost reducers, mana rocks, flexible interaction, and Thousand-Year Storm provides value backing. There is no hidden commander; the other Niv-Mizzets are supporting combo anchors.
