Deck overview

Namor the Sub-Mariner leads a mono-blue Merfolk tempo deck. The primary plan is to land Namor on turn 3, protect it with cheap counterspells, and convert every blue noncreature spell into a Merfolk token while drawing cards. Lord effects such as Lord of Atlantis and Master of the Pearl Trident pump the board and grant islandwalk. Secondary paths include Talrand's Drake army and a draw-heavy engine built around Distant Melody, Harmonized Crescendo, and Teferi's Ageless Insight, usually ending in a critical-mass combat. There is no hidden commander; Namor is the main engine and scaling threat. If the board reaches 11+ Merfolk, Nanogene Conversion can turn every creature into a Namor copy for a one-swing kill.
