Deck overview

This Jorn, God of Winter deck is a Sultai Snow Stax and Midrange engine designed to exploit the asymmetric mana advantage generated by Jorn's attack trigger. By utilizing an almost entirely snow-based mana base and permanent suite, the deck leverages symmetrical lock pieces like Stasis, Rising Waters, and Frozen Aether to completely freeze opponents out of untapping their lands and artifacts. While opponents remain paralyzed under stax pieces, Jorn attacks safely each turn, untapping all friendly snow lands and artifacts to pay upkeep costs and double operational mana. The deck converts this overwhelming resource disparity into victory through massive snow-scaling threats, notably the 20/20 flying indestructible avatar from Dark Depths or Marit Lage's Slumber, as well as trampling beaters like Abominable Treefolk and Conifer Wurm. Backed by one-sided sweepers like Dead of Winter and defensive fogs like Sunstone, the deck systematically grinds out table-wide attrition.
