Deck overview

Melek, Izzet Paragon is the engine of a spells-matter value deck that tries to cast instants and sorceries from the top of the library, copying each one. The primary path is incremental: use Melek and draw/discard effects to fill the graveyard while Ral, Storm Conduit and copy effects turn every spell into damage. The Lord Master of Hell is the main hidden commander/finisher, attacking for an amount equal to noncreature nonland cards in the graveyard after The Emperor of Palamecia transforms. Secondary paths include combat with Balmor, Prismari Apprentice, and a huge Experimental Overload token, plus Rite of Ruin and Aetherize to reset the board. The deck has no compact combo, so it wins by grinding through copied spells and repeated attacks.
