Format: Commander

Commander: Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver is a value engine rather than a combo piece: he converts every nontoken Zombie death into a 2/2 decayed token and turns end-of-turn sacrifices into cards. The deck's primary plan is to bury opponents under a wide Zombie horde, backed by lords and token/reanimation engines. Its secondary plan is to assemble Rooftop Storm plus Gravecrawler and a sacrifice outlet with a drain effect (Diregraf Captain, Vengeful Dead, or Vela the Night-Clad) for an instant, board-independent kill. The Scarab God and Gisa and Geralf serve as hidden commanders, providing recursion and inevitability. No single piece wins alone; the deck is designed for grind and a single explosive loop.
