Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan Aristocrats and +1/+1 counters combo deck commanded by Ghave, Guru of Spores. The primary game plan focuses on establishing a mana engine through early ramp, resolving Ghave alongside sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar or Phyrexian Altar, and combining them with counter doublers like Corpsejack Menace or Cathars' Crusade. Once assembled, the deck generates infinite creature tokens, infinite mana, and infinite death triggers to drain all opponents simultaneously with aristocrats such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. It also features powerful standalone redundancy, including the infinite token combo between Rosie Cotton of South Lane and Scurry Oak. With a balanced suite of targeted removal, sweepers, and recursive tools, the deck maintains resilience across mid-game board states while threatening immediate table finishes on Turn 5.
