Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis reanimator and cheat deck piloted by Obeka, Brute Chronologist. The central strategy revolves around pairing Obeka's ability to end the turn with cards that possess detrimental delayed triggers, such as temporary creature reanimation, unearth, myriad tokens, and 'lose the game' extra turns. By activating Obeka while these end-step triggers are on the stack, the deck exiles them permanently, allowing token clones and reanimated behemoths to remain on the battlefield indefinitely. The early game focuses on filling the graveyard with high-impact threats like It That Betrays, Rottenmouth Viper, and Balefire Dragon through looters and cheap card draw. Once Obeka is deployed, the deck leverages recursion engines like Feldon of the Third Path, Apprentice Necromancer, and Whip of Erebos to field overwhelming threats. Without relying on infinite combos, the deck achieves victory through compounding combat pressure, asymmetric board attrition, and extra-turn spells.
