Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Dragon Tribal Stompy deck commanded by Atarka, World Render. The strategy accelerates mana production using cheap dorks, land ramp, and Dragon cost-reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman to deploy massive flying beaters ahead of curve. Once Atarka, World Render enters the battlefield, its triggered ability grants double strike to all attacking Dragons, turning moderate flying boards into lethal damage bursts. Individual Dragons like Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, Savage Ventmaw, and Thundermaw Hellkite provide auxiliary value, extra mana, and board control while chunking opposing life totals. The deck relies primarily on combat damage and commander damage to close out games across multiple turns. While highly explosive in combat, the deck is vulnerable to creature removal and board sweepers due to limited protective countermagic and a reliance on high-cost permanents.
