Toph, in a Land before the Fire Nation attacked by eldynn

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 24

Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul midrange strategy commanded by Toph, Hardheaded Teacher, focusing on land animation, +1/+1 counters, and landfall synergies. Supported by a robust 43-land mana base and dense land ramp, the deck smoothly curves into Toph by Turn 4. Once operational, every spell cast turns lands into aggressive, hasty creatures that automatically return tapped to the battlefield when removed. Threat onset begins on Turn 6 through mass land animation, counter doubling via Branching Evolution, and token generation from Omnath, Locus of Rage and Glacier Godmaw. While the deck possesses strong built-in sweeper resistance due to the earthbend mechanic, it lacks instant-speed interactive disruption and nonland tutors. Victory is achieved through overwhelming combat steps across Turns 6 through 8 or a massive late-game Crackle with Power.
