Deck overview

This Rakdos deck focuses on Goblin tribal synergies, the amass mechanic, and aristocrat attrition led by The Great Goblin. The commander turns counter placement on Goblins, Orcs, and Armies into direct 2-damage burn against opponents, while converting creature deaths into impulse card advantage. Early turns focus on establishing land drops and deploying the commander on turn 3. From turn 4 onward, amass spells grow a dedicated Goblin Army token, triggering steady burn damage and generating card advantage through combat trades and sacrifice outlets. High-end threats like Smaug the Magnificent and Desert Were-Worm provide evasion and extra combat phases to accelerate the damage clock. The deck thrives in creature-centric midrange games but operates with thin ramp, limited instant protection, and minimal answers to noncreature permanents.
