Svella's Supersized Stompers by Djerid

Format: Commander

Commander: Svella, Ice Shaper

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Gruul "big mana into even bigger spells" deck built around Svella, Ice Shaper. The early game is dedicated to mana dorks, enchant-land ramp, and untap synergies so the commander can either generate Icy Manalith rock tokens or spin her seven-mana activated ability to cast bomb spells for free. The deck's primary path to victory is overwhelming combat damage via trample-pump effects like Overwhelming Stampede and End-Raze Forerunners, with Etali, Primal Storm and Sunbird's Invocation providing explosive free-cast chains. It also packs two draw-dependent combo finishes: a Kodama of the East Tree + Rampaging Baloths + Gruul Turf token loop, and an infinite-green-mana loop using Rings of Brighthearth, Seeker of Skybreak, an untapper, and Overgrowth. The commander is a powerful value engine rather than an essential combo piece, but her repeated activations are what let this high-curve deck punch far above its mana base.
