Deck overview

This Jund deck is commanded by Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire, functioning as a Dragon stompy and top-deck cheat midrange engine. The game plan focuses on aggressive early mana acceleration through 1–2 CMC dorks and land ramp to establish a strong mana base. By deploying global haste enablers such as Rising of the Day and Enduring Courage, the deck aims to cast and immediately attack with Vaevictis on Turn 5. The commander's attack trigger forces all three opponents to sacrifice key permanents while trading an expendable token or dork to cheat massive permanents directly into play from a library composed of 93% permanents. Standalone powerhouses like Atarka, World Render, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, and Broodmate Tyrant quickly compound combat damage and sacrifice value, threatening lethal table elimination by Turn 7. While the deck boasts high redundancy and resilient backup threats, its primary vulnerabilities stem from a lack of dedicated stack protection and minimal instant-speed interaction.
