Deck overview

This Nekusar, the Mindrazer deck is a focused Grixis wheels and burn engine that turns symmetric card draw into asymmetric table-wide damage. The strategy accelerates in the early turns using mana rocks and rituals, then deploys Nekusar or damage amplifiers such as Liliana's Caress, Megrim, and Waste Not. Resolving wheel spells like Windfall, Dark Deal, and Wheel of Misfortune inflicts heavy burst damage on all three opponents while drawing fresh hands. Stax and attrition pieces like Notion Thief, Tergrid, and Archfiend of Ifnir strip opposing resources and clear boards during wheel turns. An extensive counterspell suite featuring free and low-cost interaction protects critical spells from opposing disruption. If Nekusar is removed, high redundancy across damage pingers and alternate combo lines like Niv-Mizzet with Curiosity allow the deck to pivot smoothly and close out the game.
